The Incredible Router (GMC Publications) £15.95 + £2 Dubbed `the router bible` (The Router magazine Nov 1998). Find out about the Revised Edition.
` Jeremy Broun has brought together all his experience in this comprehensive book. I am sure this book will give the reader at any level of expertize the inspiration to become more creative with their router ` (Trend Routing Technology) … with a superb range of specially designed projects to extend your knowledge and confidence and to demonstrate just how creative the router can be.
My comment : I was invited to write this, my first book. In a way it was a first love. I gave everything to this book ! Despite being dubbed as `the router bible` by the publisher, they have declined a revised edition ! That`s publishers for you ! However I hold stock of the last remaining copies. It`s a must if you are new to routing and I am publishing a revised edition .

Electric Woodwork (GMC Publications) £16.95 + ££2 UK (£3 overseas)
` Power tools have been commonplace in the domestic workshop for many years, yet never before has the subject been written about so extensively or authoritatively as it is in Electric Woodwork. A dozen or more different types of tools are examined, tested and put through their paces. As a reference book it is very thorough and it would be good value if it ended there, but in fact, the section on projects one may regard as a bonus. Anyone with the need to use power tools will find it inspiring and anyone who is considering entering the world of woodwork had best read it first ` (Zachary Taylor--Woodworker magazine).
Author`s comment : This is a really meaty book and full of very useful hands on tips. I think it is a relevant reference book today despite the tools featured now looking `old` !

The Encyclopedia of Woodworking Techniques (Headline) £1.99 + £2 UK (£3 overseas). Voted a Top UK title by the UK Booksellers Association in 1993. Re-printed 2002.
` A unique visual encyclopedia of woodworking techniques … Original photographs and clear text guide you through each technique …Power tool and hand tool variations are fully described … A gallery of finished examples by leading craftspeople demonstrates principles of design and construction … The essential benchtop reference for all woodworkers ` (Headline).
Author`s comment : I took nearly 3,000 photos for this book, wrecked two cameras, got up at 5am most mornings to meet an almost impossible deadline. This would have ruined most marriages ! Full marks to Quarto (the designers) for a superb presentation. Shame they have a `no royalty` policy as this book might have made me rich ! It`s probably my best book and I was so pleased to be able to include a gallery of pictures of some of the best contemporary woodwork in the world (there is surprisingly very little dialogue about contemporary design in the UK although things are beginning to change slowly).

Woodwork Now (Batsford) £15.99 + £2 UK delivery (£3 overseas)
` One of Britain`s top woodworkers shows you how to achieve significantly higher standards in your own work, by combining the best of tradition with the most effective modern technology `. (Craftsman Book Society). ` This is the definitive guide to woodworking today… He dispels the myth that old methods are automatically superior or that using power tools is cheating ….` (Batsford)…. ` valuable information on tools, materials, marking out, joints, timber preparation by hand & machine, construction stages, shaping, finishing, assembly .
Author`s comment : I haven`t earned a penny in royalties from the publisher even though I occasionally see this book advertised elsewhere on the net. The internet is unique in allowing authors like me to tell their story regarding publishing contracts. It is only fair that if you give a lifetime`s experience in writing a woodworking book you reap some of the financial benefits !
